We need your help!

School Supplies, Hair Cuts & an all around good time

Volunteer Needs

Activities Team-The Activities Team will be involved directly with the students. Our Activities for the day will include inflatables from Texas Sumo and a simple craft. There will be 2 shifts available for volunteers to sign-up for(10:00 am–Noon or Noon–2:00 pm)

Backpack Assembly Team- The Backpack Assembly Team will be responsible for insuring that all of the backpacks are filled with the correct supplies and are sorted and organized for the event. The Backpack Assembly Team will serve the week leading up to the event at the Keller Campus.

Clean-Up Team- The Clean-Up Team will be responsible for getting the campus back to normal and ready for Sunday morning. The Clean-Up Team will get started at 2:30 and should plan to stay until 4:00.

Family Team- The Family Team will be responsible for engaging with the clients of Community Storehouse and building new relationships. There will be 2 shifts for the Family Team to choose from.(10:00 am – Noon or Noon- 2:00 pm).

Promotions Team-The Promotions Team will be responsible for making phone calls to all of the Community Storehouse who have registered to attend the event. The Promotions Team will be vital to the success of the event! Reminder calls will be made the week prior to the success of the event! Reminder calls will be made the week prior to the event.

Registration Team- The Registration Team will be responsible for creating a smooth flow for all of the students as they pick-up their school supplies while collecting the necessary information required by Community Storehouse. There will be 2 shifts available for volunteers to serve on the Registration Team. They are from 10:00 am-Noon and Noon-2:00 pm.

Hair Stylist Team- The Stylist Team will be responsible for providing free haircuts to all of the children that attend the event. Stylists can work a 2 hour shift or stay for the entire event. This team is imperative for the success of the event.  We will also need volunteers to assist the stylists the day of the event.

Snacks Team- The Snacks Team will be responsible for setting up and serving snacks and drinks at the event. We will provide fun, healthy snacks for the clients of Community Storehouse.  Volunteers can select one of two shifts to serve (10:00 – Noon or Noon – 2:00 pm).

Welcome Team- The Welcome Team will be responsible greeting all of the families that come from Community Storehouse and insuring that they understand the flow of the event. The Welcome Team will be the first face that the Community Storehouse families see when they arrive. There will be 2 shifts for Welcome Team volunteers to choose from. They are from 10:00 am-Noon and Noon-2:00 pm

  1. I would like to help with the back to school event…what is the date? I could do either the morning or the afternoon shift.
